My Two Year Blog Anniversary

Last week marked my 2-year blog anniversary! How?! Ironically enough, just the other day I was thinking about how MIA I have been on social media and more specifically how I haven’t written a blog post since the beginning of the year. Being consistent is hard, but I’m learning that life is full of inconsistencies and ya girl is learning to just go with it.

So…T W O years of blogging. This is honestly the most exciting, interesting, and uncomfortable journey I’ve ever been on but I am truly grateful for it. I remember the first time I even found out what a blogger or ‘influencer’ is. I was randomly on IG where I found a few accounts of confident, beautiful, and badass women who were just spreading good vibes + sharing tips of life, fashion, fitness, or whatever! I was super interested in becoming a blogger right away but it took me a few years to pull the trigger (AKA worried about what others would think…lame I know).

Starting this chapter in my life has taught me so much about myself and helped me step out of my comfort zone. It’s also been extremely therapeutic which is an added bonus I wasn’t expecting! Here are the top three things I’ve learned:

Do not care what others think. This is a big one. I will admit this is something I have to remind myself from time to time. If you are living your life based on what other people’s opinions or thoughts are, are you living life for yourself? Post the picture, write the funny caption, WEAR WHAT YOU WANT (sorry to shout but you are beautiful + need to remember you can rock anything you want!), and be kind to yourself + others along the way.

Take a risk. This whole experience for me has been about taking a risk. I want to be an inspiration or even just a relatable face to someone and to do that I have to take a risk in opening up to all of you! I have moments of, “Hmm. Did I just share too much?… Probably” but in those times I usually get the best responses from people! As long as I reach out to at least one person, it makes me feel like this is all worth it.

Be Yourself. In literally anything. I’m a true believer that if you stay true to who you are, are respectful, and kind, everything you produce will flourish. There will be times where people may not agree with what you have to say or like what you post and that is a-okay. Just remember, in those moments refer to blogging life lesson #1 🙂

I truly love you all! Thank you for being patient with me, laughing with me, and listening. I know 2020 has been *quite* the ride but we will come out on top and better than ever! Now off to vacation I go!
